Daridorexant

Daridorexant is a dual orexin receptor antagonist used for the treatment of insomnia in adults. It works by blocking the action of orexin neuropeptides, which are responsible for promoting wakefulness, thereby reducing the wake drive and allowing patients to fall asleep faster and stay asleep longer without altering normal sleep stages. Clinical studies have shown that daridorexant improves sleep onset and maintenance, with subjective improvements in sleep quality and daytime functioning.
